TNOU Online Admission UG program
TNOU Online Admission is accepting its UG Program for 2026-27 through open distance learning (ODL) mode. The college offers around 11 UG programs that include BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA and BCA so that college students can pursue studies with knowledge of opportunities with flexibility .
To be eligible for admission, candidates must have completed Class 12 or equivalent exams from a recognized board. Admission to UG programs is provided solely on the basis of qualifying marks. The minimum tenure of the course is three years, while students are allowed a maximum of six years to complete the programme. Depending on the plan chosen, the annual tuition fee is usually from ₹3,670 to ₹10,300/-
TNOU Online Admission PG program
TNOU Online Admission has also started the admission process for its postgraduate programs for counseling 2026-27. Eligible candidates can pursue online MA, M.Com, M.Sc, MBA, MSW, and many other PG programs offered through the university.
Applicants applying for admission must maintain a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in the applicable subject. For most postgraduate programs, applicants must have obtained at least 45% of the total marks in the qualifying certificate. Admission is granted without any examination, simplifying the system for qualified college students. The duration of PG programs is generally 3 years, and the one year course costs between ₹4,650 and ₹13,300, depending on the program and specialization chosen.
TNOU Online Admission PhD program
TNOU Online Admission has opened PhD admissions 2026 notification across two research disciplines. The university offers doctoral programs in subjects that include management, education, history, Tamil, physics, chemistry, botany, zoology and many different fields For the current admission cycle, the college has announced 48 PhD vacancies for qualified candidates.
Unlike UG and PG admissions, PhD admissions are primarily based on an entrance exam conducted using the college. The exam is scheduled for June 16, 2026, followed by a subsequent selection process in line with the University’s recommendations. Applicants applying for the doctoral program must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent specialist education, with at least 55% marks from a university. Applicants must also have completed the program under the 10+2+3+2 pattern. The PhD program has an application fee of ₹300 to be paid while submitting the online application form.

Undergraduate Courses
Candidates applying for admission to UG courses must have passed class 12 passed or equivalent from the relevant board.However, candidates opting for B.Sc programs must have studied applicable science subjects from their secondary education. Postgraduate course
Admission to postgraduate requires applicants to obtain a bachelor’s degree from an approved university in the discipline. Candidates interested in M.Sc must have completed a B.Sc degree in the appropriate field. TNOU follows a merit-based admission process for maximum PG courses, candidates generally no longer need to appear for further tests.
